Palast der Republik was abandoned for 15 years after the fall of the GDR. Monitoring debates about the future of the building, Lars Ø Ramberg developed the idea where doubt has become a proof of democracy, and to symbolize this phenomenon in 2005 he created Palast des Zweifels – the Palace of Doubt [Larsramberg.de, 2012]. Ramberg had been collecting newspaper articles with the word "Zweifel" (doubt) in the headline, and printed
